God’s Big Backyard-Where kids have a blast serving Jesus!

It’s all about Service!  Mark 12:29-31.

Get ready for an outdoor adventure that starts in our own backyard and gets bigger each day as kids take the love of Jesus into their neighborhoods and communities.

In Standard Publishing's "God’s Big Backyard", each day kids will discover how much fun service can be. They will be challenged to serve their families, neighbors, and Jesus.  Kids will experience God's Word, learn about and help real-life servants, and explore service through snacks and games. 

"God’s Big Backyard" is for kids ages 3 (PreK) through 10 years (5^th grade in Fall ‘08).  And as always it is FREE of charge.

VBS 2007 "Take the Plunge – Make a Splash with Jesus!"

We dove into the Word each day and explored how Jesus used the common element of water to teach some uncommon lessons.  Through songs, games, crafts, snacks, and Bible lessons, we plunged into Obedience, Courage, Faith, and Service, and used our Season P.A.S.S. to put what we learned into action... and got a little wet each day!  In just four days the kids raised $1,405.05 for Samaritan's Purse "Clean Water Project". The money raised was designated for the development of new wells for clean drinking water and the sharing of the gospel in developing countries.  The cost of the wells runs approximately $250 each.  Way to go kids!!! It is IBC's continuing prayer that these seeds of faith grow on fertile soil and that the kids continue to “… make a splash with Jesus!”  May the Lord richly bless all who dedicated their time and energy for this ministry.
